We hope you have a wonderful and relaxing stay at Bosayne and the beautiful surroundings of Tintagel. However at this time, we do have to advise you of additional requirements of you as guests, and ourselves as hosts, to minimise the risks of Covid-19 transmission, whilst keeping your stay as normal as possible. 

Most importantly
Please do not enter the property if you have Covid-19 symptoms, have been in recent contact with anyone suspected or confirmed to have Covid-19, or have been asked to self-isolate by NHS track and trace. 

Please sanitise your hands using the outside pumps in the porch before using the front door. 

Hand Washing and Sanitisers
We are all aware of the need to vigorously and regularly wash our hands with hot water and soap. Bosayne owners and staff will regularly wash their hands and will wear appropriate PPE for cleaning. 

All residents are encouraged to regularly wash their hands using hot water and soap in their rooms, particularly before leaving their rooms to enter communal areas. 

We will ensure there is a ready supply of anti-viral hand sanitiser in the property including in the front porch, and at the entrance to the breakfast room.

Social Physical Distancing
We prefer to think of this as physical distancing, rather than social distancing! Please keep 2 metres away from other guests and wear masks in communal areas. 

Arrival and Departures
Pre-arrival – To reduce unnecessary contact and use of the card machine, we will be asking for full payment for your stay to be made 48hours in advance by either BACS or by credit/debit card over the phone. 

On arrival – we will ask guests to please phone before entering the property, and we will greet you outside (weather permitting). Please use the hand sanitiser in the entrance porch before entering. Your room keys will have been disinfected and left in your room. 

During your stay – Please use phone/text wherever possible to contact us for any assistance during your stay. In an emergency, we can be contacted by use of an internal doorbell in the entrance hallway. 

The guest lounge will be used for extra space for breakfast tables and may be available to guests at other times by prior arrangement only. 

When moving around the guest house please keep your distance from other guests. Check when leaving your room if the corridor is clear, and wait at the bottom or top of stairs to allow other guests to pass, 

On departure – Please contact us beforehand to settle any outstanding account. Otherwise, keys should be left in the bedroom and a quick call to say you have left would be great. It would help if windows were left open on your departure, subject to weather conditions! 

Cleaning and Touchpoints
We always strive to keep Bosayne clean, however additional cleaning will now be carried out, including the use of anti-viral disinfectants. 

Communal areas/stairwells – regular cleaning and disinfecting of these areas will take place, including handrails, light switches and other touchpoints. 

Guest rooms We will need to strictly enforce check-out times of 10am at the latest, and check-in of 4pm at the earliest to give time for thorough ventilation and cleaning of guest rooms, to include anti-viral disinfection of all touchpoints. 

All linen, including mattress and pillow protectors, will be professionally laundered at temperatures exceeding 60℃ in between each guest stay. 

Guest information Folder – this will be in your room, and will have been cleaned and quarantined in between guest use. 

Any disposable sachets and toiletries will be changed over with all vessels refreshed. During your stay, if there is anything you need please use a phone for communication and we will leave items bagged outside your room. 

Daily servicing of rooms will only be available upon request, should you require this service, rooms will need to be vacant, windows left opened and personal items including toiletries stowed away. Linen changes for longer stays will still take place, in consultation with you at the time. 

We will be able to serve traditional Cornish cooked breakfasts, keeping an appropriate distance between guests. 

All food including toast and hot drinks will be delivered to your table, with no self-service or buffet facilities. 

To assist, we will ask you to provide your hot breakfast choices to us the evening before by phone, text or e-mail, and agree on a time for breakfast to be served. 

If you would prefer we will be able to serve a basic continental type breakfast to your room by prior arrangement. 

Should you become unwell during your stay, we will require you to advise us and to head back to your primary residence as soon as possible. 

If for any reason it does become necessary for you to stay here and self-isolate in your room, you will be liable for the costs of the room at our standard rates, and for an additional 72 hours after departure to allow for decontamination and deep cleaning of the room. 

Cottage Guidelines
Please read the above guideline for checking in and out. Exactly the same procedures will be used, regarding keys.
