Ensuring maximum use of energy efficient lighting and with effective controls installed to minimise waste – timer switches installed for public area lighting.
Our main household appliances are A rated for energy saving as an ongoing project
All our energy use is monitored for efficiency – Analysed quarterly to determine trends. We also use Sava-plugs on fridges/freezers

Monitoring use of our water demand – our toilet cisterns all have a water-saving devise installed – a recycled milk/drinks bottle to reduce flush volume
Minimising waste by re-using and recycling whatever is possible – from empty cans, woolly jumpers and left over tea to water our houseplants
Collecting rain water in butts for watering our outside plants
Composting organic waste matter, including a wormery
We use phosphate free cleaning products
Buying recycled paper products, from stationery to toilet paper
We purchase Fairtrade products including teas and coffee, as much as possible
